ABOUT ME

I am a research and media professional with a demonstrated proclivity towards new media and a history of working in the higher education industry, across online publications, and especially, start-ups in their growth phase. I have worked with organisations across India, the UK and the US.

Professionally, I love working with communities and bringing people together to create stories and campaigns that resonate with a larger audience.

I am a Media Management Postgraduate from the University of Glasgow and I love stories, digital media and the intersection of these two.

During my undergraduate studies in Delhi, India, I started the local chapter of an online food and health publication. The experience of starting something from scratch and building a community - both online and offline - has driven much of my professional choices in the years that have followed.

PROJECTS I HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN:

Untapping & mapping

I have worked with start-ups and growing organisations to create their communications and outreach strategy.

On the field to dig the truth

I have worked on social justice campaigns and qualitative projects aimed at evaluation and study of tech & media trends.

Won for the 'gram, and a wee dram.

I have made puns & rhymes like these across F & B social media and helped campus publications build editorial style guides.

JOURNALISM BEATS I'VE COVERED:

Pop-culture, art & entertainment

Reviews of the latest release from Netflix, or a book that touched my heart. Talking about the tropes used in TV shows and how our interaction with literature has evolved.

Food, lifestyle & health

Mostly covering mental health and the hustle culture, I write about our bodies and emotions. My mental health advocacy drives much of this part, so I majorly focus on 'balance'

Social Justice & society

Feminism and other movements aimed at equality need to be intersectional. This requires more awareness than we currently have - what better mode than words?

Interviews & features

I write branded content for clients. And occasionally conduct an inspiring interview or two. So far, I have talked to entrepreneurs and mental health professionals

ZINES I HAVE WORKED ON/CONTRIBUTED TO:
